Query Using the mtlib Command

Use the mtlib command to query device and operational status, take an inventory of tape volumes, eject tape media, and verify connectivity between the Enterprise Tape Library 3494 and the IBM Library Manager control service on the CA ARCserve Backup server.

To use the mtlib command

  1. On the CA ARCserve Backup host, open a console window.
  2. Execute the mtlib command using the logical name of the Enterprise Tape Library 3494.

Note: The -l argument is required for each mtlib command.
