Compress Data on Media

To compress data on media, perform the following procedure:

1. Select the storage device that supports data compression.

   In the left pane of the Device Manager, highlight the storage device. Click the Detail tab in the right pane to check that this device supports compression.

2. Click Change Compression Mode.
3. Click OK to set the compression mode to Off (if it is On) or On (if it is Off).
