Retension a Tape

To retension a tape, perform the following procedure:

1. Insert the tape into a storage device.
2. Select that tape.

   In the left pane of the Device Manager, expand the tree under the storage device that the tape is in. Then highlight the tape.

3. Click Retension.
4. Click OK to start retensioning the tape.
