Add an NAS Server

To add an NAS Server, perform the following procedure:

  1. Start Device Configuration.
  2. From the Options section, select the NAS Servers option button and click Next.
  3. Click the Add unfold button and select NAS Server.
  4. Click the New Server text and enter the name of the NAS Server. To choose the server from a list of computers on your network, click the ellipsis button to open the Choose Server dialog.
  5. Click the Administrator text under the User column to add the name of a user with Administrator privileges on the NAS server.
  6. Click the area under the password column, click the ellipsis button, and enter the required security information.
  7. Clear the Continue Configuring Your Library Devices check box.

    After you complete this step, DDS will be enabled for use.

  8. Click Finish.
  9. Restart the Tape Engine.
