DLTSage Errors without the Tape Library Option

If you have one or more stand-alone Quantum SuperDLT tape drives with DLTSage firmware, Arcserve Backup will diagnose read and write errors reported by DLTSage on those devices if the Tape Library Option is not installed. However, if the option is not installed, you must cure the error condition or problem area manually. To receive DLTSage error reporting on multi-drive tape libraries, the option must be installed.

When an error occurs, Arcserve Backup performs a second attempt to complete the job. If the error persists, Arcserve Backup stops the backup job and the tape drive relays the information about the error condition to Arcserve Backup. You can view the details about the error condition in the Activity Log.

After determining the cause of the error condition and curing the problem, you must resubmit the job.
