The Backup <aof> (BAOF) Console is the user interface for the agent. It allows you to configure your backups and monitor the status of the servers where the Windows Engine has been installed. You can perform these tasks for all such servers from any computer running the console.
The Backup <aof> Console also allows you to select either the Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service or Backup Agent for Open Files on servers on which the Windows Engine has been installed to back up open files.
