When agent synchronizes a group it does not wait for the entire Write Inactivity Period

When agent synchronizes a group, it does not wait for the Write Inactivity Period

Symptom

Under Windows, the agent is able to determine accurately when a file was last modified. When it needs to synchronize a group, it may find that none of the files in the group have been modified for a period equal to or exceeding the Write Inactivity Period so that it can synchronize the group immediately.

Solution

None.

Solution

Verify if you have the following items installed on the virtual machine:

• A valid license for the Agent for Open Files on Windows, or a valid license for the Agent for Open Files for Virtual Machines on Windows
• VMware tools

If you do not have these items, install them and then resubmit the backup job.
