Transportable VSS Backup and Restore - Microsoft Hyper-V VSS Writer

Transportable VSS backups of the Microsoft Hyper-V Writer can only be restored by Session. For a description of the available restore types in the Restore Manager, see Restore Methods.

Because transportable VSS backups are run as multistreaming jobs and, for the Microsoft Hyper-V VSS Writer, each storage group has been backed up to a different session, to restore the entire Microsoft Hyper-V Writer, you must individually restore each storage group session. Each session is one storage group.
