ARCserveCfg.exe - Usage

The ARCserveCfg.exe command contains options that are used to define actions to follow when updating the configuration of the Arcserve Backup server.

The ARCserveCfg.exe command includes the following options:

-reconfig

Required field. This field indicates a reconfiguration operation of the Arcserve Backup server. If you specify -reconfig by itself, it displays the usage of this utility in a separate console.

[-arcservedomain <NewARCserveDomainName>]

Optional field. This field specifies the new Arcserve Backup domain name. After you run this utility, the current domain name is changed to the specified new Arcserve Backup domain name. If this option is not specified, the domain name remains the same.

-username <WindowsUserName>

Required field. This field is the Arcserve Backup system account name. The user name must be a Microsoft Windows Domain user account or local user account, and must have local administrator privileges. This option is specified in the format Domain\User. If the domain is not specified, the current server name is used as the Windows domain name.

-password <WindowsUserPassword>

Required field. This field specifies the password of the Microsoft Windows user account.

[-carootpassword <CarootPassword>]

Optional field. This field specifies the password of the Arcserve Backup caroot account. If this field is not specified, an empty password or the password caroot is assumed.
