Log File Viewer

The <aof> Log File Viewer displays log file information. The Viewer selects the most recent log file by default. The Logfile field displays the full name of the log file you are currently viewing.

Each log file is shown as a range of dates and times. You can scroll forward and backward through the entries. You can also select multiple files from the list and copy them to a clipboard or any text editor.

Note: The date is displayed in the format yyyy/mm/dd.

Each entry in the log shows the agent's activity with respect to a single file or group of files.

If you are viewing the currently active log file on a Windows server, you can see agent events in real time simply by scrolling to the end of the log file. New entries appear automatically as they are generated by the server.

Note: If the <aof> and Arcserve Backup are installed on the same Windows server, real-time agent events are written to the Arcserve Backup activity log.
