How the Agent Restores Dropped Databases

A dropped database is a database that has been removed from the Sybase database and is no longer accessible. Restore jobs fail when you try to restore a dropped database. To overcome this behavior, complete the following remedial steps:

  1. Create a database on the destination using the name of the database that was deleted (dropped).
  2. Allocate an amount of disk space on the destination that is greater than the amount of disk space that the Sybase database consumed before it was backed up.
  3. Submit the restore.
