Add and Scan the nodes and Volumes

You can add and scan the nodes and volumes to create hash values for the scanned data.

Follow these steps:

1. From the Scan Nodes screen, click Add Node.
2. In the Add Node pane, provide the following details, and click OK:
   1. Node Name/IP
   2. UserName
   3. Password

   Note: To add multiple source nodes, repeat Step 1 and Step 2.

3. From the Protected Nodes and Volumes section, click the All Volumes drop-down list and select All Volumes or System Volumes or Data Volumes.

   The required volume type appears.

4. From the added nodes and volumes in Protected Nodes and Volumes section, select the nodes and volumes that you need to scan.
5. Click Scan Nodes.

   You are able to collect all the hash keys for the selected nodes/volumes.

   On the successful completion of nodes/volumes scan, a dialog box appears.

6. Click OK on the dialog box.

You have successfully scanned the nodes and collected the hash values of the scanned data. Now you can create reports for the scanned data.
