Review the Prerequisites and Considerations

Verify if you have completed the following prerequisites:

• Log in to the Console.
• Install the server component and create Data Stores if you want to store the backup data to recovery point servers.
• You have a valid recovery point to create a virtual standby machine. The recovery points can be from one of the following tasks:
  • Backup, Agent-based Windows
  • Backup, Host-Based Agentless
  • Replicate
  • Replicate from a remote Recovery Point Server

  Note: If you import nodes from Arcserve High Availability, you can create a directly virtual standby task without creating any other task. For more information on creating virtual standby task from Arcserve High Availability nodes, see How to Create a Virtual Standby Plan for Arcserve High Availability Nodes.

• Review the Compatibility Matrix which provides the supported operating systems, databases, and browsers.
