Feature Enhancements

Node status will be error status if the node cannot be connected by console.
Support “Update” node function for Linux VM protected by agent-less backup plan, credential information is updated to Console database and deployed to HBBU backup proxy.
Changed the default concurrent backup job number from 10 to 4 for Hyper-V Agentless backup so as to relieve the load of the Hyper-V host.
Set the Back up each VM individually using a separate snapshot option as the default value of Hyper-V Snapshot Separation for Host-Based Agentless backup plan to assure that the VM is released timely after backup completes. Without this option enabled, the problem described in Trouble Shooting topic Backup Job is Complete but the VM is in the Backing Up Status” may occur.
Allow non-administrator account to trigger backup job from Arcserve UDP Windows Agent system tray monitor.
By default only account with local administrator privilege can trigger backup jobs from system tray monitor. To enable, create the following key / value:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcserve\Unified Data Protection\Engine\AgentTrayMonitor:

Value: BackupCheckAdmin

Type: DWORD

Create this value and set it to 0 to skip check for administrator privilege.
Enable reconnecting to resume from network issue for the recover VM and copy recovery point jobs.
On Agent File System Restore Browse UI, if the count of sub directories and sub files exceeds 100, a new dialog pops up. Originally, the threshold is 50.
NetApp FC Support: For VMware, extended the hardware snapshot support for NetApp FC.
Data Distribution on Media report email is enhanced to include the total raw data size and total compressed size.
Arcserve UDP added the hardware snapshot support for Nimble Storage array. Nimble Hardware snapshot support is applicable only to Hyper-V agentless backups and physical machine backups. For Hyper-V servers, Arcserve UDP provides the transportable snapshot backup.

Appliance Enhancements

Factory Reset helps you get the Arcserve UDP Appliance to clean and non-configured status. (Known Issues of Arcserve UDP V6 resolved)
Appliance is pre-installed with Arcserve UDP v6.0 Update1.
You can install Arcserve Backup r17 using a script called “InstallASBU.bat” located on the desktop. (Known Issues of Arcserve UDP V6 resolved)
