Register Your Product From the Command Line

For products that do not have a graphical user interface, you can register the products using the CARegit.exe program from the command line.

Follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the ca_lic directory from a command line. By default, the directory is located at %systemDrive%\Program Files\Arcserve\SharedComponents\CA_LIC.
2. Enter the following command in the command line:

   CARegit.exe
   

   The product Registration dialog appears.

3. Complete the required fields in the User Information section of the product Registration dialog and click Register. If you are registering through a firewall and must use a proxy server to reach the internet, click Proxy in the Arcserve Registration Proxy Settings dialog to define your firewall settings.

   The registration process completes.
