The manual library configuration method lets you manually enter tape drive parameters. Use the manual library configuration method to configure the logical library if the tape drives in the StorageTek ACSLS library use a mixture of different types of tape volumes or if the StorageTek ACSLS library is shared with other backup servers.
The process of entering tape drive parameters assigns the tape drive to the logical library on the Arcserve Backup server. A green tick mark next to the tape drive in the Manual Configuration dialog indicates that you have entered the tape drive parameters.
