Updated to include user feedback, enhancements, corrections, and other minor changes to help improve the usability and understanding of the product or the documentation itself.
Updated How the Agent Protects VMware Environments. This topic now includes information about not having to install the agent on the virtual machine to perform a raw (full VM) backup to provide file level restore.
Updated How to License the Agent. This topic includes an installation scenario about performing raw (full VM) backups without having to install the agent on a VM for VMware systems.
Updated Backup Mode and Installation Matrix. The VMware Systems table in this topic is now updated to state that it is not required to install the agent on the VM/guest OS when performing a raw (full VM) backup and using VDDK in a mixed backup mode.
Updated Where to Install the Agent. This topic is now updated with what is not required for VMware virtual machines regarding raw (full VM) backups.
Updated Specify the Name of the Arcserve Backup Server. Removed text specifying that it is required to install the Arcserve Backup agent to perform granular file level restores from raw (full VM) backups.
