Configure the Engines

The Server Admin allows you to configure each engine to suit your particular needs.

To configure the Arcserve Backup engines

1. From the Arcserve Backup Server Admin, click the Config button, or go to the Admin menu and select Configuration.
2. Select the Job Engine, Tape Engine, Database Engine, Alert, or Log or Purge/Prune tab.

   Note: The last tab will differ depending on whether you are using the Arcserve Backup Server Admin to administer a Windows or a NetWare server.

3. Provide the desired information to configure the engines.
4. Click OK.
