Arcserve Backup Server Admin › Understanding the Arcserve Backup Server Admin › Engine Information
Engine Information
The Server Admin shows you the current status of the Arcserve Backup engines (running or stopped). It also shows you how long each engine has been running. When you are connected to a Windows server, you can also use the Server Admin to manually start, stop, and resume the various Arcserve Backup engines at any time.
Use the following tabs to access information and configure the Arcserve Backup engines:
- Summary Tab--Current state of all the Arcserve Backup engines.
- Job Engine Tab--Information about jobs, such as the number of active and pending jobs.
- Tape Engine Tab--When you are connected to a Windows server, you can view information about jobs using the Tape Engine, such as the type of job it is and who submitted it. It also displays information about the tape groups being used by the current tape jobs.
- Database Engine Tab--Displays information about the status of the database. It displays database pruning information such as its status (enabled or disabled) and the time the database pruning begins.
