Scanned Volume Charts

This section displays the scanned volume charts that provide you a detailed explanation of how much disk space and memory is required when multiple options are enabled or disabled for scanned data.

The following screenshot displays the Disk and Memory Usage chart:

High level description of the terms specified at the screenshot:

In the Chart Type, select Disk and Memory Usage Trend from the drop-down list to display the data size trend for selected scan data/memory size for selected deduplication block size.

The following screenshot displays the Disk and Memory Usage Trend Chart for the first scan on Day one:

Disk and Memory Usage Trend

On Day one, trend shows the data only for one scan.

Raw data is 140.9 GB after scan on Day one. The data written on the disk with Compression Disable is 71.4 GB and with Standard Compression is 42.4 GB. Data written on disk with Maximum Compression is 34.7 GB. To protect this data 0.715 GB of memory is required and 0.03 GB of memory is required when SSD is enabled.

When SSD is disabled, all the hash keys that are in the memory move to SSD once you enable the SSD. So, the required SSD space of SSD Enabled is identical to the required memory size when SSD Disabled.
